Welcome to our brand new program! And thank you for considering us as you think about where you'll spend the next four years becoming the OBGYN you're meant to be.
We believe medicine is a calling before it is a career. If you're drawn to OBGYN because you want to be present for the most defining moments in a person's life — and because you want to use the privilege of being a physician-surgeon to give something back — you'll find a home here. Our residents don't just train to be excellent clinicians; they're encouraged, and expected, to bring that skill beyond the hospital walls, into service for our community. This is a program built around the idea that the "why" behind your medicine matters as much as the "how."
You'll train in Denver, a city that gives you room to actually live while you learn. Thirty to forty minutes from the Rocky Mountains, with over 300 days of sunshine a year, Denver offers a rare balance: big-city energy alongside easy access to some of the most beautiful wilderness in America. Whether your idea of a day off is a hike, a Broncos game, or trying the next brewery on your list, this city has a way of keeping you whole while you do hard, meaningful, essential, and compassionate work.
We're a community-based program, and we mean that in every sense — in how we train, how we practice, and how we show up for the people around us.
Sincerely,
Brittney Bastow, MD, MSc
