Residents will have protected time to participate in daily morning report and noon conference. Multidisciplinary grand rounds, quality improvement, and journal club will be hosted monthly. All conferences will be available through Webex in case a resident is on a rotation away from the primary site or in the case of other extenuating circumstances that prevent in-person attendance.

Notes
Vacation: Fellows will have 4 weeks of vacation. They will also be eligible for 6 weeks of paid medical, parental, or caregiver leave(s). The program will provide the fellows with accurate information regarding the impact of an extended leave of absence on the criteria for satisfactory completion of the program, and eligibility to participate in examinations by the ABIM or AOBIM. The fellow's training period will be extended when necessary.
Continuity Clinic: Fellows will be assigned to one of two continuity clinics at orientation, where they will care for a panel of patients two half-days per week throughout the 24-month training period except during away rotations during PGY 4 (CF) and PGY 5 (Lung TX). These clinic locations include Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Specialists, PA (Site 4), and North Houston Respiratory Consultants (Site 5). Faculty members will evaluate the fellows performance in the continuity clinic quarterly.

- Mondays: Board Review @ 1:00pm
- Tuesday through Friday: Didactics are held at various times. Each lecture is 1 hour in duration.
- Didactics include Journal Clubs, Morbidity & Mortality, Tumor Boards, Case Conferences, Board Reviews, Grand Rounds, Research, as well as weekly lectures from guest speakers on various topics.
