Welcome from our Program Director

Welcome to the Vascular Neurology Fellowship Program at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center, which is a Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center serving patients in and around the Ventura County. This is a one-year ACGME accredited fellowship program. We offer two fellowship positions and are well supported by Vascular Neurology faculty from various backgrounds, including Stroke, Neuro-critical Care, Interventional Neuroradiology, Vascular Neurology, and Vascular Neurosurgery. The primary clinical experience is the inpatient stroke neurology service at Los Robles Hospital. The fellow works directly with the Vascular Neurology attending, neurology residents, medicine residents, and medical students. During the training, fellow gets to participate in a variety of experiences including but not limited to Diagnostic Neuroradiology, Interventional Neuroradiology, Neuro-critical Care, Physical Medicine and Rehab, and Research.

The mission of the Vascular Neurology Fellowship Program is to train the next generation of leaders in stroke care through comprehensive, evidence-based education, hands-on clinical experience, and innovative research. We are committed to developing highly skilled vascular neurologists who will provide compassionate, cutting-edge care for patients with cerebrovascular diseases, advance the science of stroke prevention and treatment, and serve as educators and advocates in their communities.

Our program fosters a culture of academic excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and lifelong learning, equipping fellows with the clinical acumen, procedural proficiency, and leadership capabilities needed to thrive in diverse healthcare environments. Through mentorship, scholarly activity, and a dedication to health equity, we aim to improve outcomes for patients at risk for or affected by stroke across all populations.
