Youssef M. Al-Saghir, MD, FACC, FSCAI, FABVM

Program Director

Dr. Al-Saghir received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and Premedical sciences from California State University and received his doctor of medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Al-Saghir has completed a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship and an Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center.  He completed a fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery and serves as a faculty member of HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital’s comprehensive stroke program.  He is the director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and the director of the Structural Heart program at Orange Park Hospital.

Brett Sasseen, MD

Associate Program Director

Dr. Brett Sasseen received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.  He received his doctor of medicine degree from Washington University in St. Louis.  Dr. Sasseen performed his internship and residency at the University of Michigan and then performed his fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Sasseen specializes in interventional cardiology and his interests include coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, intravascular ultrasound, and valvular heart disease.

Mubbasher Syed, MD, MPH, FACC, FSCAI

Faculty

Dr. Mubbasher Syed trained at Cleveland Clinic Foundation’s Fairview Hospital, where he was appointed Chief Resident of the internal medicine residency program. He followed that with cardiovascular medicine training at the University of Toledo, where he served as Chief Fellow.  Dr. Syed completed his interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Arizona/Banner University College of Medicine in Phoenix. Throughout his years of training and experience, he grew as a clinician, a proceduralist, a researcher, and a teacher. He led multiple quality improvement initiatives and committees. He is deeply passionate about preventive healthcare. He strongly believes in the notion that prevention is the best management for any ailment.

Ziad Alnabki, MD, FACC, FSCAI

Faculty

Dr. Ziad Alnabki, MD, FACC, FSCAI graduated from medical school at the University of Damascus in Syria. He went on to complete his residency training at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.  He also participated in various cardiac research studies examining patients with heart failure, heart transplants, and patients who have had a stroke.
