Welcome from our Program Director
Welcome to the Interventional Cardiovascular Fellowship Program at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital. This one-year program is accredited through the Electronic Residency Application Service ® (ERAS). Furthermore, our program adheres to and satisfies the guidelines, standards, and recommendations of both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American College of Cardiology's Core Cardiovascular Training Statement (COCATS) procedural requirements.
Mission Statement
The HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program's mission is to develop the next generation of Interventional Cardiologists and physician leaders. As a part of HCA Healthcare, we are driven by a single mission: Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.
This program is designed to offer fellows a rewarding, educational environment where fellows are provided individualized learning opportunities by faculty and staff who support and sustain one another throughout quality care delivery. Our faculty are committed to ensuring the fellows' clinical experience and educational needs are fulfilled while expanding fellows' perspectives to be inclusive of cultures, values, and ideals.
Program Overview
The aim of the Interventional Cardiovascular Fellowship program is to train and develop highly competent practitioners with a commitment to compassionate patient care and lifelong learning. Our dedicated interventional cardiology faculty bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our program through their extensive background in education, training, and research.
In addition to the academic and core requirements of the Interventional Cardiology program, fellows will have ample exposure to structural heart, advanced peripheral, pulmonary/veins, trauma vascular and Neuro-interventional vascular procedures. Fellows are expected to perform research related to interventional cardiology and to contribute scholarly activity in the field.
Curriculum
The Interventional Cardiology Fellow will spend the majority of their time in the Catherization Laboratory as part of the diverse team of healthcare professionals.

Vacation, sick or holiday
Each fellow receives three weeks annual paid leave for vacation, sick, holiday or other time away from work. Vacation requests must occur prior to the beginning of each academic year. The three-week annual leave does not carry over to the next academic year and fellows will not be paid out for time unused.
